About me

Born in Vancouver, B.C., I've trained and worked all over the world—New York, L.A., Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Berlin, Prague, Denmark, Serbia, Bali, and Norway.

And on those travels, I've trained in a dizzying variety of styles, from conservatory training with the Atlantic Acting School (studying with people like David Mamet, William H Macy, Felicity Huffman, Robert Bella, Anya Saffir, and many many more geniuses) all the way to absurd sketch comedy, with additional intensive training in improvisation, Shakespeare, Greek tragedy, Suzuki, Grotowski, Fitzmaurice Voice, Michael Chekhov, stand-up, voiceover, and Balinese mask & dance—not to mention countless workshops in Meisner, Method, clown, mime, and Bouffon. Basically, if it's an acting style, I've probably at least dabbled in it.

But it didn't start this way.

I was going to be an academic, earning my M.A. in Philosophy at the University of British Columbia. While I was there, my passion for photography led me onto film sets, and over the next three years I worked one everything from no-budget student productions to major studio pictures, doing everything from lighting, gripping, camera, & sound recording, to writing, producing, and directing.

And then, in 2001, while living in Prague, I accidentally found myself acting in a sketch comedy show, and I instantly knew I was home. So I moved to NYC to train at the Atlantic Acting Conservatory, and have been working as an actor ever since.

Whether it's on a stage or a film set, my favorite place in the world is collaborating with other artists to tell good stories, simply and truthfully. I'm pretty good at coming up with my own ideas, but I'm really good at making other people's ideas better.
